Especially in a country that could do with a little more sunshine! What is surprising is just how well it fits in with the rest of the eclectic scheme – a geometric-pattern rug and cushion, a pretty in-laid console with candelabra and a classically gold-framed Vermeer painting, no less. Just one pop of colour setting the tone and lifting the mood. Artfully done.
