Bob Willoughby. Audrey Hepburn. Photographs 1953-1966

    by  • August 12, 2014 • Life.Style.etc Loves, News • 0 Comments

Acclaimed Hollywood photographer Bob Willoughby captured some of the biggest faces of the silver screen including Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor – but his most favourite subject was Audrey Hepburn, whom he met in 1953 shortly after her arrival in Hollywood. Their working partnership became a lasting and trusted one, which developed into a close friendship as Hepburn’s career took off after her oscar winning role in Roman Holiday. Throughout Hepburn’s many films, Willoughby captured the actress both on and off set; preparing for a scene, interacting with actors and directors, and at home behind closed doors. This new edition of photographs published by Taschen offers an unrivalled record of one of the 20th century’s most iconic talents, and the relationship between photographer and muse.
