• Palette of the Week: Blue, green and white

Blue and green should never be seen, unless there is something in between– we’re sticking to the rules this week by combining crisp white with our royal blues and rich greens.

Papier Tigre’s notebook (£12 at The Goodhood Store) demonstrates the need for breathing space with these colours. Jazz Cafe (blue) and Mad King George (green) paints (£50 for 2.5L from Fired Earth) would look overwhelming as a duo; enter Snow White by Marston and Langinger (£41.50 for 2.5L) and you’ve got a fairy tale line up. Feed the seven dwarves on tea and cake with this  Jansen + Co cake stand (£19.95) and We Love Karou’s London Willow tea set (£112 at Luna and Curious).

We totally broke the rules then, with our blue and green downstairs w/c.

Pastel versions of the colours work so beautifully together too.

We headed to our local builder’s merchants and cheekily asked for some wood too. Not quite white but warms it up a little.

It’s stacked in a wicker basket and looks so cute, just under the sink.

I’m off to order me that tea set…

Loving the colour mixing! Painting the inside of your cabinet is such a fantastic way to turn something drab in to deluxe style!

I love the bold use of saturated colours – touch of crisp white is such a great way to make colors and spaces work
