    Known as the queen of boutique hotels, Kit Kemp (along with her husband, Tim) is responsible for some of the world’s most stylish and eclectic hotels. Since founding the Firmdale Hotels group with London’s Dorset Hotel 25 years ago, Kit has pioneered her instinctive ‘no rules’ approach to interior design, inspiring many home owners and design fans along the way. Following the launch of her first book, A Living Space (£30, Hardie Grant Books), Life.style.etc caught up with Kit for some of her top tips on designing interiors.

    Livingetc loves… a well designed trophy!

    One hopes that if they win a trophy, that it is beautiful enough to put on display for all to see. The ones that we have found below are just that. We’d be proud to show any of these off!

    A bespoke trophy designed by Phil Cuttance for the Icon Design Awards 2012

    four23 is a creative studio founded by friends with diverse background in music, graphic design, moving image and fine art. They designed this medal for the London Marathon using a traditional London street sign as design inspiration.
    Neil Conley was specially commissioned to design this stunning trophy for the New Designers Awards for 2012.

    Fraser Reid collaborated with Nick Ross to design this modern trophy for the 2011 A & B Awards– based on Ancient Greek Olympic vessels.
